Linear gantries and robots are one of the most efficient ways of automating machine tools. Depending on the application, robot loading with many degrees of freedom or gantry loading from above via a loading hatch can be selected as the optimum configuration. The robot or gantry handling units are usually supplemented by laterally arranged end coupling modules and customer-oriented additional stations such as cleaning stations, laser marking and measuring technology.

Gantry loader

Linear gantries are the simplest version of a gantry robot. The points to be approached by the gripper lie along one axis. The gantry slide is responsible for the horizontal movement on the main axis, the vertical movement is performed by the gantry arm. Gantry units are available for workpiece weights of up to 200 kg and can both load and unload the machine tool.

Portal pick-up unit

For short distances and low part weights, the finished parts are removed via our portal removal unit. A swivel arm with gripper unit is mounted on the carriage, which places the finished workpieces on a parts conveyor. The gantry removal unit is available for workpiece weights of up to 15 kg.

Shuttle

For short distances and low part weights, the machine tools are loaded and unloaded via our shuttle. A swivel arm with double gripper unit and B-axis is mounted on the carriage for this purpose. The shuttle works with saw cuts or semi-finished parts and is available for workpieces weighing up to 15 kg. The workpieces are made available outside the machine tool via transfer systems.

Robot cell

The robot cell is the flexible variant of machine tool automation. In our robot cells, standardized modules such as decoupling modules or additional modules are combined with the degrees of freedom of a 6-axis industrial robot. Robot modules are pre-assembled as a standard unit in combination with a transfer system or a stacking cell, or are defined according to customer-specific requirements.

Transfer systems

Feeding workpieces, optimizing cycle times, loading and unloading machines and stations, buffering parts, linking production equipment linearly or in parallel, decoupling work processes, assembling components and much more: the demands on your production are constantly increasing. Flexibility is required here. We know the challenges you face in your day-to-day work and present efficient transfer systems for material flow and handling that will give you a long-term competitive advantage.

By integrating handling systems, CNC lathes can be operated more efficiently, leading to higher productivity, better part quality, and overall lower manufacturing costs. We will be happy to advise you!

We offer handling systems for the following machines:
